Preschool Swimming Lessons (3 - 5 years)
Our Preschool Swimming Program includes 3 different classes or levels. Instructor to Student ratio for all of our preschool classes is 1:4.
Preschool 1: Water Acclimation is a beginners course for 3-5 year olds. This class is preformed WITHOUT a parent in the water. If a child has never had formal swimming lessons, this is a great first step.
Preschool 2: Water Movement is our next step above water acclimation. To be successful in this class, a child should be able to push off of the wall by themselves, put their face in the water and retrieve an object under water by themselves, and float on their back and their front for a total of 10 seconds, with little to no help from an instructor.
Preschool 3: Water Stamina is our preschool class with highest difficulty. In this class, preschoolers are expected to be able to swim 5 yards by themselves on their front, float on their front and back by themselves, and retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool by themselves.
Preschool 1: Water Acclimation
WATER ACCLIMATION (Preschool 3 – 5 years)
Students develop comfort with underwater exploration and learn to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water in stage 1. This stage lays the foundation that allows for a student’s future progress in swimming.
Preschool 1: Water Acclimation is a beginners course for children aged 3-5 years. This class is preformed WITHOUT a parent in the water. If a child has never had formal swimming lessons, this is a great first step. Children will learn basic water safety and beginning swimming skills (front floats, back floats, putting their face in the water) without a parent present to assist them.

Preschool 2: Water Movement
WATER MOVEMENT (Preschool: 3- 5 years)
In stage 2, students focus on body position and control, directional change, and forward movement in the water while also continuing to practice how to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water.
Preschool 2: Water Movement is our step after water acclimation. Preschool 3: Water Stamina
WATER STAMINA (PRESCHOOL: 3-5 YEARS & YOUTH: 5-12)
In stage 3, students learn how to swim to safety from a longer distance than in previous stages in the event of falling into a body of water. This stage also introduces rhythmic breathing and integrated arm and leg action.
Preschool 3: Water Stamina is our preschool class with highest difficulty. In this class, preschoolers are expected to be able to swim (freestyle) 5 yards by themselves on their front, float on their front and back by themselves, and retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool (3.5 feet under water) by themselves. Instructors will be introducing and practicing the front and back crawl to participants.
