Youth Progressive Dance (Ages 6 - 17)
YMCA DANCE PRECIOUS GEMS

Our Youth Progressive Dance program focuses on expanding dance vocabulary in each of the genres offered. Students will work to improve skills with emphasis on developing and understanding good technique. They will continue to be encouraged to express themselves as they explore the artistic aspect of dance. The progressive program gives students the opportunity to reach an advanced level of training.
Age is an important factor in placement, however individual ability and maturity is key to placing a student in a class that provides the best opportunity for them to thrive. Please trust the Y dance staff along with the director to determine changes in placement.
Students should expect to remain at the same level for a minimum of 2 years before advancing.
